Participation House Project (Durham Region)

Residential Services
Individuals are supported to direct their own care with personal needs, activities, nutrition, transportation and recreation.Participation House Project provided fully accessible apartments and homes throughout Durham Region. Non-medical support staff ensure the physical, emotial, social and medical needs of the indiviudal are met. Service is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to residents at PH.
Life Readiness Program (LRP)
LRP is a 5-day summer respite program in partnership with Durham College. The program format includes supported learning opportunities, demonstrations, and practical real-life experiences.
The goal is to prepare you for a more independent lifestyle by providing opportunities to live away from home, pursue your interests in the community and to plan and direct your care.

Supported Independent Living
Assisting individuals to develop and maintain independent living skills in their own home setting.
Non-medical support staff provide individual with a developmental and a physical disability on a scheduled, as needed basis.
Community Supports
PH provides individuals with opportunities to increase their prescence and contribution to their community. Individuals are provided with a monthly calendar of supported activities that they are able to register for based on their interest. Offered to core service group members and community members.
Day Service Programs are open to residents of Durham Region aged 18 or older

Respite Programs
Respite Apartment 101 Intended to support individuals in an emergency or planned situation and provide person-centred, creative, non-traditional living support options in an apartment setting.
Passport Funding is intended to increase community access and connections for individuals with a developmental disability living in the community. PH receives passport funding which enables us to increase the day supports we can offer to community members, through access to community programs.

Campbell Court

The Participation House Project (Durham Region) is also a social housing service provider and works in partnership with Durham Non-Profit Housing Corporation.
114 Concession Street East, or Campbell Court is located in the east end of Bowmanville, Campbell Court is a 39 unit housing complex comprised of ; thirteen (13) units are accessible, twenty-two (22) are subsidized and seventeen (17) are market rent. The units are one, two and three bedrooms.
The Board of Directors of Participation House Project (Durham Region) are pleased to have received a grant of $1.8 million from Social Housing Renovation and Retrofit Program to address repairs required to the exterior of the building.
